What it is Bullion Note is a personal precious-metals ledger and everyday-money ledger. Users record gold, platinum, and silver they already own, see live material value, compare market quotes, estimate a buyback range, and convert daily income and spending into grams of gold. A former news tab was removed in 2.2.0 and is not part of the product. ## 4. Vault: holdings and valuation Trackable metals include gold (Au), platinum (Pt), and silver (Ag). Users record each piece with a name or category (rings, necklaces, bracelets, bars, coins, pendants, earrings, and custom items), metal, weight, purity, purchase cost, and notes. Typical purity examples: Au9999 / Au999 / Au990 / Au916 (22K) / Au750 (18K) / Au585 (14K); Pt999 / Pt950 / Pt900; Ag9999 / Ag999 / Ag925. Weight units include grams, troy ounces, and tael, depending on the user's unit setting. Quotes: markets and converter The Quotes tab presents: - International spot references (gold, platinum, silver), converted into the user's currency. - China market references (Shanghai gold / silver style quotes in CNY/g where that market is selected). - Jewelry-store listing quotes as a separate retail board. Every price is labeled with its market, currency, and update time. If a feed is stale or unavailable, the app shows the last known quote or an unavailable state. It does not invent prices. The converter under the K-line converts weight ⇄ amount across those quote boards so users can see spread between spot, store listings, and recovery-style estimates. All figures remain reference values. ## 6. Life ledger: spending in gold grams The Ledger tab records income and expenses in cash. For each entry: `Equivalent gold grams = cash amount ÷ current live gold price per gram` The original cash amount is kept. Gram values are recalculated when the gold price changes; they do not replace the cash record. Monthly summaries show cash totals and the gold-gram equivalent so users can read purchasing power in metal weight. ## 7. Privacy, accounts, and backup Default: local-first. Holdings, life-ledger entries, and settings stay in the device application sandbox. No registration is required for recording, valuation, quotes, or conversion. Optional Google or Apple sign-in stores on Cloudflare Worker / D1 only what is needed to run the account: email, display name, provider user ID, session, and — if alerts are enabled — device tokens, alert rules, and preferences.
